Modern systems do not need people to be whole.
… They need people to be predictable.

Over time, those repeated signals, pressures, defaults, and rewards can train automaticity — participation that happens with less awareness, less friction, and more reactive forms of choice.

Not outside them.
Not perfectly independent.
But more aware of the systems shaping our behavior, more careful with measurement, more able to recover agency, and more willing to ask what the system is quietly teaching us to become.
